How did I get here?
Carys Davies completed her studies in English and Education at the University of Wales in 1977.
After living in the USA for some years she settled in Germany and has worked as English teacher and Consultant since 1984. As well as her regular teaching commitments, her tasks have ranged from acting as consultant to Education Boards in northern Germany in the area of ‘English in the Primary School’ to producing English language CDs for DaimlerChrysler management. She writes and translates books, brochures, articles and websites for companies and institutes.
She acts as facilitator and simultaneous translator at international meetings and congresses.
Lessons are augmented by regular Cultural Events such as concerts and benefits.

Carys took dual nationality German/British in 2005.
She has two grown-up children: Laura lives and works in Malaysian Borneo and Robin is a teacher in Germany and Pipe Major of Crest of Gordon, City of Bremen Pipes and Drums. She is married to Prof. Dr. Horst-Erich Rikeit and is the besotted Omi of three adorable grandchildren.
